HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that the participation of the State of Qatar in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a great opportunity to enhance Qatari-Russian ties, which have grown greatly in recent years under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The State of Qatar participated in the virtual opening session held by the Singaporean Foreign Ministry that was headed by HE the Singaporean Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan, along with the Heads of missions of the member states in the Global Governance Group (G3) and the Group of Twenty (G20).

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a written message to HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, pertaining to bilateral relations and the means to enhance them.

​The State of Qatar stressed the importance of having a unified decision from all members of the Arab League to move actively on the international arena to support the Palestinian people and end Israeli aggression, which a lot of which can be categorized as war crimes, and prevent it from happening again.

Tuesday saw the start of the emergency meeting of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers, in an extraordinary session chaired by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the current chair of the league's council.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Germany Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani said that the decision of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs was in favor of workers regarding the recent dispute with EGSSCO.

Ambassador Saoud Al-Mahmoud participated with representatives from Francophone countries, and the presence of Minister Marc Garneau, in a virtual event organized by Global Affairs Canada to mark the International Day of La Francophonie.

The State of Qatar participated in the session of the Coordinating Council of the Russian-Arab Business Council that was held via video conference.

His Excellency the Ambassador Saoud Al-Mahmoud participated in the 2021 Qatar Student Webinar 2021, as part of an activity supervised by the Cultural Attaché in the United States and Canada.

The State of Qatar affirmed the importance of spreading values of equality, cooperation and transparency in efforts to address the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in order to achieve our aspiration of overcoming this crisis, stressing that it is important that everyone obtains a fair opportunity to get the vaccine to prevent the virus in a safe and effective manner, without any kind of discrimination and away from nationalism and ethnic affiliations. It also affirmed the importance of taking into account the needs of specific groups to limit the spread or reduce deaths due to the pandemic.
