​HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad received Thursday a phone call from HE Secretary of State for International Development of Canada Randeep Sarai. During the call, they discussed the developments of the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on security and stability regionally and internationally.

The State of Qatar has dispatched a third identical communication to HE Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres and HE Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the UN and President of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the month of March Michael Waltz, regarding developments in the Iranian assault on its territory, which constitutes a flagrant violation of its national sovereignty and a direct compromise of its security and territorial integrity, as well as a rejected escalation that imperils the region's security and stability.

The State of Qatar sent on Tuesday a second identical message to each of HE Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres and HE Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the UN and President of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the month of March Michael Waltz regarding the Iranian aggression against its territory that constitutes a flagrant violation of its national sovereignty, a direct infringement upon its security and territorial integrity, and an unacceptable escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.

Joint Statement on Iran's Missile and Drone Attacks in the Region

The State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America strongly condemn the Islamic Republic of Iran's indiscriminate and reckless missile and drone attacks against sovereign territories across the region, including Bahrain, Iraq -including the Iraqi Kurdistan Region- Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. These unjustified strikes targeted sovereign territory, endangered civilian populations, and damaged civilian infrastructure.


Foreign Ministry Urges Qatari Citizens Abroad to Contact Diplomatic Missions When Necessary

Due to the current situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Qatari citizens abroad, particularly those who are stranded or in need of consulate services, to reach out to the diplomatic missions of the State of Qatar in the countries where they reside, and to strictly adhere to the instructions and guidance issued by the local authorities of those nations.
