Canada's men's national team clinched their spot for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with a memorable 4-0 victory over Jamaica at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council agreed to proceed with the establishment of the Doha Flight Information Region (FIR) on the basis of a phased approach as presented in the Councils report. This came during the 10th meeting of the Council in its 225th Session held this March 11.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada received, through video conference technology, the credentials of His Excellency Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Canada Khalid bin Rashid Al-Mansouri.

​His Excellency Ambassador Khalid bin Rashid Al-Mansouri participated in the first annual meeting, for the year 2022, of the group of Francophone ambassadors accredited to Canada.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani held a phone call with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Melanie Joly.
