​The State of Qatar sent two identical letters (the 12th and 13th) to HE Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres, and HE Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of April Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, regarding the latest developments of the Iranian attack on its territories.

Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari reaffirmed that the State of Qatar’s position regarding mediation has not changed, noting its full support for the ongoing mediation efforts led by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, despite the State of Qatar not being directly involved due to its focus on self-defense amid escalating threats in the region and continued Iranian attacks.

The Foreign Ministers of the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli occupying power’s enactment of a law in its Parliament (Knesset), that allows the imposition of the death penalty in the occupied West Bank and its de facto application against Palestinians.

Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari affirmed that the State of Qatar has called from day one for de-escalation in the region, stressing that its position remains firm in rejecting any steps that would deepen the conflict or threaten regional security and stability.

The State of Qatar took part in a joint ministerial meeting of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Russian Federation, held virtually on Monday.

His Excellency Tariq Ali Faraj Al-Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada, participated in CAPMUN 2026, held at the campus of the University of Ottawa under the theme “Back to Diplomacy.” The event brought together more than 200 high school students representing schools from across Canada, alongside university-level organizers and participants, in a dynamic forum focused on diplomacy, dialogue, and global cooperation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered an official note to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State, stating that Qatar considers both the military attache and the security attache at the embassy, in addition to the staff of the two attache offices "persona non grata", and requests that they leave the country within a maximum period of (24) hours.

The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting Ras Laffan Industrial City, which caused fires resulting in significant damage to the facility.

The State of Qatar has said that Iran must take "a clear decision" to stop attacks on the countries of the region, rejecting suggestions that investigations or joint teams are needed to address the issue.
