Professional Experience
Prior to joining the Embassy, he was Advisor to H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Development (2018-2021).
His Excellency had two former ambassadorial posts as Qatar’s Ambassador to France and Monaco (2016-2018) and as Qatar’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom for around a decade, while acting also as non-resident Ambassador to Norway, Iceland and Ireland (2005-2014).
In Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ambassador Al-Mansouri also served as Director of the European Affairs Department (2014-2016), Director of the European and American Affairs Department (2002-2005) and Director of the Information and Research Department (1998-2002).
Since joining the diplomatic service in 1987, Dr. Al-Mansouri held several positions in MOFA’s International Organizations and Conferences Department and its Consular Department. His first post abroad was as a diplomat in Qatar’s Embassy in Washington between 1993 and 1998, where he was also the Acting Military Attaché and Acting Medical Attaché.
Throughout his postings, Ambassador A-Mansouri has been awarded notable titles, such as the Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) by Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II, as well as the National Order of Merit (Commander Rank) by His Excellency the President of France.
