His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired on Monday morning the Councils fourth meeting for 2021 at the Amiri Diwan.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that the meeting of the 7th session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, chaired by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and HE President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will witness the signing of 11 new agreements, in addition to 80 previous agreements between the two countries..

The Ministerial Preparatory Meeting of the 7th Session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, which will be held tomorrow under the chairmanship of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and HE President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, began on Monday in Doha.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Monday with HE United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo, who is currently visiting the country.

HE the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, conducted a visit to Doha on Dec. 4 2021. He was welcomed by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that the State of Qatar, under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, is committed to continuing its efforts to achieve stability and security in the region. This came during his participation today, via videoconferencing, in the 7th edition of the Rome MED Conference.

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron discussed friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields, especially the economic, investment, defense, security, educational and development fields, to achieve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries.

Qatar and France conducted a joint humanitarian operation on December 2nd. This joint operation enabled the two countries to send 40 metric tons of medical assistance, winter and food supplies to international organizations in Afghanistan.

The State of Qatar has renewed its firm position of supporting efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue and achieve peace in the Middle East, stressing that the success of any initiative in finding a solution has to be based on international law, United Nations resolutions, the principle of land for peace and the Arab Peace Initiative. It also stressed that such a resolution must come through negotiation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani participated in the meeting of political directors in the international coalition against ISIS, which was held in the Belgian capital, Brussels.
