Qatar and France conducted a joint humanitarian operation on December 2nd. This joint operation enabled the two countries to send 40 metric tons of medical assistance, winter and food supplies to international organizations in Afghanistan.

The State of Qatar has renewed its firm position of supporting efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue and achieve peace in the Middle East, stressing that the success of any initiative in finding a solution has to be based on international law, United Nations resolutions, the principle of land for peace and the Arab Peace Initiative. It also stressed that such a resolution must come through negotiation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani participated in the meeting of political directors in the international coalition against ISIS, which was held in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

The State of Qatar affirmed that freeing the Middle East region of nuclear weapons contributes to achieving security and stability in the region, pointing to its contribution over the past four decades to official efforts and initiatives to free the Middle East region of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, noting its accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of nuclear weapons and other international treaties on weapons of mass destruction.

The State of Qatar organized a series of activities and introductory meetings regarding the International Horticultural Expo (Doha Expo 2023), on the sidelines of its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, currently taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

The State of Qatar affirmed that the Palestinian issue constitutes the cornerstone of any permanent and comprehensive solution in the Middle East.

The Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched Monday the slogan of the State of Qatar for the celebration of International Human Rights Day, which falls on Dec. 10 of each year.
