The State of Qatar Participates in Russian-Arab Business Council Meeting

The State of Qatar participated in the session of the Coordinating Council of the Russian-Arab Business Council that was held via video conference.

The State of Qatar was represented in the session by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Thani.

HE Deputy Foreign Minister and the Russian President's Special Envoy for Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov, HE Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers Khaled Mohamad Hanafy, and a number of Arab ambassadors attended the session and participated in its work.

During the session, Gvilava Tatyana Alexandrovna was elected Chair of the Coordinating Council of the Russian-Arab Business Council, and the conditions for membership in the council were reviewed as well in addition to discussing its work plan for the period 2021-2022.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation congratulated Gvilava Tatyana Alexandrovna on her election as Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Russian-Arab Business Council, wishing her success in activating the work of the Council for the mutual benefit of the countries and peoples of the Member States.

HE the Ambassador pointed out that the council is considered an important economic, trade and investment platform for Arab-Russian cooperation.
