Qatar Considers COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis Reminder to Everyone of World's Shared Destiny

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani affirmed that the global health crisis is a reminder to everyone of the world's shared destiny, and an incentive to renew commitment to international cooperation and increase support for international institutions to face new challenges. Her Excellency indicated that the State of Qatar has followed a comprehensive approach in containing the pandemic and its effects at the national and international levels.



The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets a Number of Officials

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior met in Turkish city Antalya with HE High Council for National Reconciliation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Hishammuddin Hussein, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi in separate meetings on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.


Qatar Participates in the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit

The State of Qatar participated in the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit, which is held virtually on June 15-16. HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi stressed that the State of Qatar will continue its contributions and effective cooperation in all global and regional efforts to achieve the desired goals towards a more just and equitable world and the ability to face all challenges, adding that it will continue its development path in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development.




Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Affirms Unified Arab Position on the Renaissance Dam Crisis

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed a unified Arab position regarding the Renaissance Dam crisis, noting that the Arab position supports the African mediation by urging all parties to respond to this mediation and to be serious in dealing with this file, while stressing the need not to take any unilateral escalatory measure that may cause harm to the countries downstream of the Nile, in particular Egypt and Sudan.
