The embassy of the State of Qatar participated in the Holiday Dinner Reception that was held in Global Affairs Canada on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year. The reception was attended by  His Excellency the  Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, and  H.E. The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as heads and members of diplomatic corps.
Mr. Hmoud Saleh Al-Saadi, the Charge d'Affaires  a.i., met during the reception with HE the Right  Honourable Prime Minister of Canada. Mr. Al-Saadi extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister for his re-election, as well as his wishes for a merry Christmas and happy New Year.  The Charge d'Affaires also met with HE the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne. They discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, and Mr. Al-Saadi also congratulated the Minister for his reelection and his new position as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
