H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Rashid Al-Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada, met with The Honorable Mr. Sean Fraser, Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, where they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the Afghan refugees’ conditions, as well as the country's preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Canadian Minister thanked the State of Qatar for evacuating Canadian and Afghan citizens during the COVID-19 period.

His Excellency Ambassador Al Mansouri also assured Minister Fraser that the State of Qatar welcomes all Canadian fans who wish to visit the State of Qatar during the World Cup event.
