HE President of the Republic of Lebanon General Michel Aoun met on Tuesday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

At the outset of the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the Lebanese President; and HH the Amir's wishes to HE the President of the best of health and the government and people of Lebanon continued progress and prosperity.

For his part, HE the President of Lebanon entrusted HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing HH the Amir the best of health and the State of Qatar lasting progress, development and prosperity.

The meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs met also HE Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Lebanon Nabih Berri.

During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation, and ways of promoting the parliamentary cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with HE Prime Minister-designate of the Republic of Lebanon Saad Al Hariri. The meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

During his talks, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar's supportive position to Lebanon and its brotherly people to overcome the current crisis, calling on all Lebanese parties to prioritize the national interest in order to expedite the formation of a new government to face the crises and challenges facing Lebanon.
