The Embassy of the State of Qatar participated in the “Y Embassy Chef Showcase” organized by the YMCA Charity Foundation, at the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.

Many accredited embassies in Canada participated in this exhibition, showcasing dishes that reflect the cultural heritage of each country. Among the participating embassies were the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Pakistan, Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, and more.

The proceeds from this exhibition were dedicated to funding social programs organized by the YMCA Foundation for the benefit of newcomers to Canada and vulnerable populations.

The Embassy also donated commemorative gifts that were sold in the silent auction organized by the foundation.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar received, at the conclusion of the event, two awards; The Judges' Award for the best dish and The People's Choice Award for the best food.
