The Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched Monday the slogan of the State of Qatar for the celebration of International Human Rights Day, which falls on Dec. 10 of each year.

The launch of the slogan comes within the framework of raising awareness at the local and international levels of the International Human Rights Day the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize a celebration on this occasion on Dec. 7, in cooperation with the ministries and authorities in the country, which will include an exhibition of the State's most important achievements in the field of human rights.

The event will also include an art exhibition with the participation of Qatar Museums and the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC).

The celebration program will include speeches by several officials, a video presentation titled "Qatar and Human Rights", and an exhibition of the participating parties in the event.
